If you're a business or individual who would like to host me to help teach classes in katazome, or you would like to come visit and learn the process in my studio, you are in the right place. Please take a look at the overview below and email me if you'd like to schedule a day!
Full day workshop
If you want an in-depth look into the process and do everything including making your own rice paste resist, you'd want to take this class.
Intro to katazome
This short class covers the basics of katazome in about 2 hours. Students will start a project and will receive instructions on finishing it at home.
Private workshops
If you would like private instruction or a smaller group class for 2-5 people, this is the place.
FULL DAY WORKSHOP

$380 per person (minimum 5 & up to10 people) including materials.
Workshop lasts between 8-10 hours. Food not provided. Travel over 15 miles from Bremerton, WA will require a travel/gas charge.
INTRO TO KATAZOME

Fixing the dye, rinsing out the resist, and drying and ironing will be covered and done at home by the student

$120 per person (minimum 5 & up to 10 people) including materials.
Workshop lasts about 3 hours. Food not provided.
PRIVATE WORKSHOPS
Full-day workshops (as outlined above in the Full Day Workshops section) can be modified to accommodate an individual or up to 4 people at $600 per person including materials.
Workshop lasts between 8-10 hours or until project completion (depending on weather, it may take multiple days).
Private intro and simplified workshops (see Intro to Katazome for outline) is offered for $200 per person.
Food and tea can be provided with prior notice of dietary needs (extensive and serious allergy requirements cannot be accommodated for legal reasons, I'm sorry!)
