To a soiree.
I don't know about you, but for me, winters in the PNW can be magical. The misty rain, fog, the deep green of the trees, the snowy peaks...
But sometimes it feels like it can go on forever, and it can feel isolating. I thought arranging a nice, chill gathering might be a good antidote to this feeling.

4PM~?
This will be an outdoor party!
A bonfire will be going, and I'll be doing some cooking on the open flame. The menu will be determined by what's in season -- I'll be serving local produce, and I'm planning on doing some clamming to get some to roast on the fire! The fire should be pretty warm, but depending on the weather, we will have some canopies and heaters. Rain that's more intense than a fine mist will result in postponement (we will keep you posted!)
Since quite a few of you are musicians (!), it would be wonderful if you could bring your acoustic instruments to play around the fire. Or if you have any poetry or whatever else you'd like to share.
FAQs
What should I bring?
Please bring lawn chairs along with a dish to share and/or drinks/snacks!
If you're a musician and want to play a bit of music, bring an instrument/necessary equipment and a piece or two you'd like to share.
Will there be amps/mics?
Unfortunately not! This will be an intimate gathering, there likely will not be a need for amps/mics.
Can I bring a friend?
This invitation extends to you and your partner (if applicable) along with any kids. If you want to bring a friend or two, that's totally fine! Just let me know in advance so we can make sure there are enough chairs/food etc. Well-behaved dogs who are okay with cats, chickens, and children are welcome. Please pick up after them.
Can you accommodate my food allergies/restrictions?
Yes! I can't guarantee that certain foods won't be touching other foods though. Please bring food for yourself if that may be an issue.
Will this be alcohol/420 friendly?
Yes, but please keep your smoking around the open fire, and make sure your drinking is under control. Especially if you're driving!
What's the parking situation like?
There's quite a bit of space in our driveway/in front of our house, but if cars don't all fit there is street parking.
I'm traveling from afar...
You can stay in our spare bedroom and there are two couches, as well as a blow-up mattress if you want to just crash for the night! Just let me know.
